By placing an order with The Modern Manor, you agree to the following billing terms and conditions. These policies are designed to ensure a secure, transparent, and premium shopping experience for our luxury smart appliance clientele.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
To provide maximum convenience and security, we accept the following payment methods:
- Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
- Digital Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal.
- Luxury Financing: Installment plans via partners such as Affirm or PayPal Credit (subject to credit approval).
- Bank Transfers: Available for high-value custom orders. Please contact our Concierge Team for wire transfer instructions.
Note: We do not accept Cash on Delivery (C.O.D.), personal checks, or money orders for online transactions.
2. Payment Security and Verification
- PCI DSS v4.0 Compliance: As of March 31, 2025, we strictly adhere to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) v4.0, including enhanced encryption and multi-factor authentication for secure processing.
- Billing Match: For your protection, the billing name and address must exactly match the information on file with your financial institution. Orders with mismatched data may be flagged for manual review or cancellation.
- Authorization: When you place an order, a temporary authorization hold may be placed on your account to verify funds. Your card will be fully charged only upon order confirmation or shipment.
3. Pricing and Taxes
- Price Accuracy: While we strive for absolute accuracy, if an item is mispriced, we reserve the right to cancel the order and provide a full refund.
- Sales Tax: Applicable sales taxes are calculated based on your shipping destination and will be added to your total at checkout as required by law.
- Currency: All transactions are processed in USD unless otherwise specified.
4. Order Confirmation and Acceptance
- Acknowledgment: Receipt of an email order acknowledgement does not constitute legal acceptance of an order.
- Acceptance: A contract is formed only when your order is processed and prepared for shipment. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including product unavailability, inaccuracies in pricing, or suspected fraud.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellation Window: Given the specialized nature of luxury smart appliances, orders can typically only be canceled within 24 hours of placement.
- Refund Processing: Approved refunds are credited back to the original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the transaction to reflect on your statement.
- Restocking Fees: Special order or custom-configured appliances may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 50% if returned.
6. Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Your State]. Any billing disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association (AAA) rules.
