SKU: Model #RTSN600J3
Sale price$5,979.00

Description

600 Amp Automatic Transfer Switching for 120/240V Three-Phase Delta Systems

The RTSN600J3 is a 600 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) designed to provide seamless automatic power source transition between utility and generator feeds. Specifically configured for 120/240 Volt, 3-Phase (3P) Delta systems, this switch is ideal for facilities with legacy or specialized power requirements that include both three-phase motor loads and single-phase 120V lighting and receptacle circuits.

Key Specifications:

  • Amperage: 600 Amps

  • Voltage: 120/240 Volts, 3-Phase (3P), 3-Wire + Neutral + Ground (Delta configuration – high leg / wild leg delta compatible)

  • Enclosure Type: NEMA 3R (Rainproof, sleet-resistant – suitable for outdoor installation)

  • Rating: Non-Service Rated (Requires upstream overcurrent protection; no internal main breaker)

Core Features:

  • Fully Automatic Operation: The microprocessor-based controller continuously monitors utility power quality (voltage and frequency). Upon utility failure, undervoltage, or phase loss, it initiates generator start, transfers the load to emergency power once stable, and automatically retransfers to utility when normal power is restored, followed by an adjustable engine cooldown period.

  • 120/240V 3-Phase Delta Configuration: Specifically designed for 240V delta three-phase systems, including those with a high leg (wild leg – typically Phase B at 208V to neutral). Supports both three-phase 240V loads (motors, pumps, compressors) and single-phase 120V loads (lighting, receptacles, controls) from a single transfer switch.

  • NEMA 3R Outdoor Enclosure: Heavy-gauge galvanized steel construction with a durable powder-coated finish. Provides rainproof and sleet-resistant protection, allowing for safe outdoor pad or wall mounting without requiring an additional electrical building or enclosure.

  • Non-Service Rated Design: Economical and space-efficient solution for applications where overcurrent protection is already provided by an upstream main circuit breaker or fused disconnect. Contains no integral main breaker, reducing cost and footprint.

  • High Withstand & Close-On Ratings: Engineered to safely withstand available fault currents when properly coordinated with upstream protective devices.

  • Electrically Operated / Mechanically Held: Mechanically held contacts eliminate continuous coil power draw, reduce heat generation, and ensure positive contact retention.

  • User-Friendly Digital Controller:

    • LED status indicators (Source 1/2 availability and load position)

    • Manual test push-button with optional no-load transfer

    • Programmable generator exercise timer (weekly with day/time selection)

    • Event logging and non-volatile fault memory

    • Adjustable voltage and frequency sensing thresholds

Typical Applications:

  • Rural industrial shops and farm operations

  • Small manufacturing facilities with legacy 120/240V delta service

  • RV parks and campgrounds with mixed 120V and 240V 3-phase equipment

  • Marinas and boatyards

  • Older commercial buildings with delta service

  • Small water well and irrigation pumping stations
